Bible Verse: Exodus 20:8

'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.'

The fourth commandment, 'Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy' is a call for us to set aside the Sabbath as a day of rest and as a day of worship and remembrance of His creation.

Imagine that every week your family sets aside one day for a family day, where all other activities and work are set aside to spend quality time together. How different and refreshing that day feels! In much the same way, Yahuah similarly designated Sabbath not just as a regular day off but as a holy day of rest and reconnection with Him.

In practice, this means using the Sabbath as a special day to rest from our usual work and activities, taking the time to worship Yahuah, study His Word, and enjoy each other's presence. It's more than just a break from the ordinary; it's a day to refocus our hearts and minds on Yahuah.

  • How can our family make the most of the Sabbath in honoring Yahuah?

  • What does the Sabbath mean to you personally? How does it impact your relationship with Yahuah?

  • How can we better incorporate the practice of Sabbath into our busy modern lives?

Prayer:

Yahuah, guide us in understanding and observing the Sabbath in the way You intended. Let this day not merely be a pause from our week but a time to refocus on You. Refresh our spirits and deepen our connection with You. Amen.
