Day 20: Yahusha's Message to the Church in Ephesus

Yahusha’s Message to the Seven Assemblies

Day 20: Yahusha's Message to the Church in Ephesus

Scripture: Revelation 2:1-7

In this passage, Yahusha acknowledges the hard work, discernment, and endurance of the Ephesian assembly. However, there's a gentle rebuke – they've lost the fervor of their first love for Yahusha. This serves as a reminder for us to evaluate the depth of our love for Him amidst life's challenges. The mention of the Nicolaitans warns against compromising values for the sake of convenience.

Think about our own family dynamics. There are times when daily routines and challenges can create distance among us. We might find ourselves losing the warmth and affection that once bound us closely together. Let's learn from the Ephesians and reflect on how we can revive the love within our family.

Let us consider practical steps to bring warmth and love back into our family life. Just as the Ephesians are encouraged to rekindle their love for Yahusha, let's find ways to bring back the joy and closeness we once enjoyed. Identify any influences that may be compromising our family values and take steps to distance ourselves from them.

  • What commendations did Yahusha give to the assembly in Ephesus?

  • What was the warning or rebuke given to them?

  • Reflect on a time in our family life when the warmth and love waned. How did we revive it?

Prayer

Dear Yahuah, we come before you as a family, seeking your guidance and grace. Help us to revive the warmth and love within our family, just as Yahusha encourages the Ephesians to revive their love for Him. Show us areas where compromise has crept in, and grant us the strength to turn away from such practices. In Yahusha's name, we pray. Amen.

As we conclude our family time today, let's carry the lessons from Ephesus into our week, cherishing the love that binds us together.
