Day 8 - The Beatitudes: 'Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake'

Day 8 - The Beatitudes: 'Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake'

Bible Verse: Matthew 5:10

As we near the end of The Beatitudes, our verse for today is:

'Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.'

Yahusha tells us here that living righteously may sometimes lead to difficulties and persecutions, but the reward is the kingdom of heaven.

Remember the time when we stood up for the truth, even when it was easier and safer to stay silent? That's what it means to be 'persecuted for righteousness' sake.' Living righteously means doing what's right even when it's hard; it means standing up for truth even when it's against the current. Just as a seed has to be buried to grow into a beautiful plant, sometimes we have to face challenges to grow and witness the blessings Yahuah has for us. Our reward is the kingdom of heaven— eternal joy with Yahuah.

As a family, let's encourage one another to stand firm in righteousness. Even during challenges and difficulties, let's hold onto our faith, knowing that our eternal reward far outweighs any temporary hardships.

  • Share an instance where you chose to do what's right, facing challenges and opposition?

  • How can we encourage each other to stand firm in righteousness, especially during tough times?

  • Discuss the comforting assurance we have knowing that 'theirs is the kingdom of heaven.' How does this assure you to persist in the path of righteousness?
